College football top 25 rankings in week 2

A week ago, Alabama was the Savvy Index top-ranked team by a single point.  This week, the Tide leads the pack by a whopping four points.  It’s a separation that is well-deserved since UA went on the road and dominated Miami FL 44-13.

Georgia’s stifling 10-3 win over Clemson opened the door for Notre Dame to move into second in the rankings while Georgia vaulted from sixth to third and Clemson dropped to ninth.

Texas and Penn State made the biggest gains as each moved up eight spots to 10th and 11th respectively.

Auburn and UCF posted impressive wins and enter the Savvy top 25 for the first time this season replacing LSU and Washington.

Oklahoma State is still in the Savvy top 25 but the Cowboys show an alarming number of negative trends after barely getting past Missouri State of the FCS.
