2019 FCS preseason rankings

Yup.

North Dakota State.

Again.

But, how can you plead against the Bison after they stampeded everyone again in 2018 and stormed to a perfect season.

Keep in mind that bison don’t stampede with grace.  As for the Bison of NDSU,  it was downright ugly at times.  Did you know that NDSU outscored its opponents by a staggering 433 points!

Eastern Washington fans might think they have some say in who wins the 2019 title but the Eagles lost both their head coach and starting quarterback.  EWU will be good, but not enough to contend with the Bison 30-point per game winning margin.

South Dakota State looks like a prospect but it’s really hard to reach that much higher when you also don’t have your starting quarterback; you know, that guy who set every record in the history of the school.

North Dakota State doesn’t have a lock on the title but let’s face it—they’ve only lost the national championship one time in the past eight years.

Below is the Savvy Index ranking for all FCS teams.  While it is subject to some modification as summer programs produce better data, I don’t think it will change enough to warrant publishing a revised list.
